March resembles new beginnings, letting go of the past and creating our future.  In my Podcast, Spill the TEA we discuss how to begin the ritual of renewal.   What changes do you need to take TODAY, that can lead to a better tomorrow?   I vote for detox.  The word itself implies harsh change, but that doesn't need to be the case.  Detox can be easy on the body and the spirit.  Make it easy.  Write down 3 things that no longer serve you, and that you are no longer willing to live with.  It can be as easy as cleaning out a drawer and throwing away old cords!  It can be as difficult as getting out of a toxic relationship.  Either way, changing and detoxing requires a certain level of self-awareness and ownership of where you are now.   When my husband asked me to marry him, he presented me with a ring that is called the past, present, future ring.  Anytime I need a reminder of great things in our lives, I take a moment to think about where we were, where we are, and how we want our future to be.  It all starts with us.  Sometimes even the smallest change in routine leads to the greatest of things! Write down 3 things this week you are going to detox or change to promote self-care.  Here are mine

  1. Shut down electronics 1 hour before bed
  2. Drink my daily cup of detox tea
  3. Clean out the damn junk drawer (UGH)
